Auto Insurance Coverage's Explained:
Bodily Injury Coverage
This coverage applies to injuries that you, the driver, causes to someone else. Other drivers such as family or friends are covered when driving your vehicle as long as they have your permission.
Medical Payments
Is a coverage over and above PIP in which the insurer agrees to reimburse the insured and others up to a certain limit for medical or funeral expenses as a result of bodily injury or death by accident.
Personal Injury Protection Plan (PIP)
PIP coverage pays for the treatment of injuries to you and your passengers. At its broadest, PIP covers medical payments, lost wages, and the cost of replacing services normally performed by the injured individual. It may also cover funeral expenses.
Property Damage Liability
This coverage pays for damage you (or someone driving your vehicle with your permission) may cause to the property of someone else.
Collision
Collision pays for the damage to your car as a result of colliding with another vehicle, object or as a result of flipping over.
Comprehensive
This coverage reimburses you for loss due to theft or damage caused by something other than collision with another vehicle or object. Some examples include damage from fire, falling objects, missiles, explosions, earthquakes, windstorms, hail, flood, vandalism, riot, or contact with an animal such as a bird or deer.
Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist
UM coverage will reimburse you, a member of your family, or a designated driver if one of you is hit by a driver with no insurance or too little insurance. It also covers you in the event of a hit-and-run.
Rental Reimbursement
This coverage provides for a rental car while your car is being repaired due to a covered loss.
Roadside Assistance
This coverage is an optional coverage offered by all of our carriers. Please contact your agent about the details of your specific carrier as each carrier varies in what is covered.
